a piece of the view is a series of work that depicts fragments of a slow and undulating landscape, that shifts and moves throughout the small scale panels. The pieces almost fit together to complete the whole, but never quite capture the full landscape.  It is a landscape in my mind that continues to grow, as it slowly ripples across the space and is caught for a moment in each panel. A ongoing series, it is composed of wood panels of varying sizes, and through the medium of pastel, investigates the ability to produce volume with texture and colour.
