Slide Series (2017) is a series of 50 images taken of small (1" x 2 1/2" x 1/8") plexiglass slides produced as mimics of scientific slides that investigate scientific imagery and its ability to neutralize and alienate the source material. It acts as a landscape, drawing from influences of East Asian landscape painting and its scroll format to show a disjointed narrative - a small fraction of an artificial world. Slide Series (2017) and its original source are lost as the viewer pieces together a landscape and dialogue in their own individual perspective. It is alluring yet just out of reach of the recognizable.
